Among other advances, it looks like Mobile email vendor Visto has integrated social networking and photo sharing into its Visto Mobile 6 platform. Mobile users using Visto's solution will be able to see news updates from Facebook and MySpace, as well as notifications about new photo posted from Flickr and Photobucket. Like Research In Motion (RIM), Visto has been a long-time player in the push mail market. However, Visto does not make any hardware devices, working instead on the client-side software to run on various mobile hardware devices. It supports push mail from Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes, as well as traditional ISP-based emails and various web-based services.
